A farmer and two other individuals were arrested by the police in separate buybust operations in Negros Occidental on June 16.
The apprehension of a 55-year-old farmer at Spur 16 in Barangay Bunga, Don Salvador Benedicto yielded an estimated five grams of suspected shabu valued at P34,000 and a P500 in marked money.
In San Enrique, the 37-year-old drug suspect yielded about four grams of shabu valued at P27,000 during the operation at Purok Malipayon North, Barangay Tabao Baybay.
The joint operation of the local police and troopers of the 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company led to the arrest of a 26-year-old suspect and the recovery of an estimated 0.75 gram of shabu worth P5,100 and a marked money of P500.
The three arrested suspects, whose identities are being withheld by the police, are now locked up in jail. | GB
