The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has lifted the suspension in the collection of the P0.0364 per kilowatt-hour Feed-in Tariff Allowance (FIT-All) rate, which will take effect in the billing month of February.

The FIT-All rate collection was suspended since December 2022 to provide relief to consumers, considering the rising level of inflation and cost of living affecting millions of Filipino households.

But the ERC, in Resolution No. 01, series of 2024, dated Jan. 16, said there is looming deficit in the projected FIT-All Fund, as it was used up during the more than one year FIT-All collection suspension.

The FIT-All is a uniform charge imposed on all on-grid electricity consumers, the ERC said in a statement, adding that it is a component of the electricity bill and ensures the development and promotion of renewable energy in the country, the ERC said. ||
