A 40-year-old electric bicycle driver was shot dead by his neighbor in Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City, Sept. 20, following a reported argument.
The Bacolod City Police Station 10 identified the victim as Rene Abibas, of Purok Saturn Phase 6B in the barangay.
The suspect remains at large, as of press time, the police said.
Initial police investigation showed that a commotion ensued between the victim and the suspect night of Sept. 19, though it was later pacified.
But when the victim went to the suspect house Sunday, the latter allegedly shot him twice in the abdomen, at around 3:30 p.m., the police said.
The victim was rushed by his family members to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital but was declared dead at around 5:25 p.m. by an attending physician.
Manhunt operations and follow-up investigations are ongoing to locate and arrest the suspect. | TMD
