Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, chairperson of the City Nutrition Council, led thousands of participants, who woke up early to join the 2024 Nutri-fit Walk that culminated at the Pantawan People’s Park Sunday morning, July 7.

Even the overnight rains did not dampen the enthusiasm of local officials, government workers, students, teachers, employees of various establishments, and senior citizens, among others, in joining the annual tradition, in celebration of the Nutrition Month.

Remollo noted that the fine weather has allowed the event to proceed, and emphasized the need for the government to invest in programs, projects, and activities that will keep the citizenry, especially the youth, healthy and fit.
