Drugs suspects yield P2.8M shabu

Policemen seized about P2.8 million worth of suspected shabu from a couple during a buy-bust at Capitol Heights 2 in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City yesterday.

The suspects were identified as John Matthew “Rolly” Genon, 21, and Laurriane Canales Libre, 25, both residents of Purok Ylac, Barangay 1.

Their arrest yielded an estimated 420 grams of suspected shabu valued at P2.856 million.

Genon is classified as high-value individual drug personality, the police said.

Both suspects are detained at the Police Station 4 custodial facility.

Meanwhile, two laborers were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Moises Padilla and Cadiz City, Negros Occidental on July 6.

Their apprehensions yielded about three grams of suspected shabu worth P20,400.

On July 5, two drug suspects were collared by the police in the cities of Talisay and Himamaylan, whose arrests yielded 1.2 grams of shabu valued at P8,160. | GB
