A truck helper, who was suspected to be a drug personality, was found dead at Purok 5 in Barangay Bantayan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on Sunday.
The 19-year-victim, whose identity is being withheld by the police, succumbed to multiple stab wounds.
He was declared dead on arrival at the Tabugon Community Hospital in Barangay Tabugon.
In a radio interview, PCapt. Sammy Gasataya, Kabankalan City deputy police chief, said that the victim was an alleged drug personality, based on their initial investigation.
The motive of the stabbing incident is still being determined by the Kabankalan City Police Station.
The police also reported another stabbing incident on Sunday in Barangay Tapi, Kabankalan City.
The victim, 35, who succumbed to a stab wound in the abdomen, was also reported by the police to have been declared dead on arrival at the Tabugon Community Hospital.
Meanwhile, a 43-year-old fisherman was reported to have drowned at Purok 2 in Barangay Elihan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
The victim, who attended a birthday party, was found dead along the seashore. | GPB
