An intoxicated driver lost control of his tricycle and crashed into a sack of palay (unhusked rice) at the national highway of Barangay Talacagay, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental night of Sept. 14.
The Hinoba-an Municipal Police said the driver, 51, was heading home from a drinking session when his Kawasaki Bajaj tricycle hit the roadside obstruction at around 8 p.m.
He hit the concrete pavement and sustained injuries to his head, the police said, adding the driver was rushed by a Hinoba-an rescue team to the district hospital but was declared dead on arrival by an attending physician. | TMD
