The Securities and Exchange Commission Bacolod Extension Office (BCDEO) is encouraging micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to file for registration of regular and one-person corporations, and take advantage of discounted rates.

The markdown is per SEC Memorandum Circular 8-2025, which further supports the growth and expansion of MSMEs by providing discounted rates for certain filing fees, the BCDEO said in a press release Nov. 21.

The discounted structure for MSMEs on filing fees until Dec. 31 includes a 20 percent discount for registration of new corporations, and 25 percent reduction on filing for amendments of Articles of Incorporation via increase in capital stock.

MSMEs that want to register their securities may do so with a 50 percent discount until June 30, 2026, the SEC said.
