The pump prices of petroleum products increase anew, effective today, Aug. 5, with diesel up by P1.20 per liter, gasoline by P1.90/L, and kerosene by P1/L.

This will be the fourth straight week of upward adjustment for diesel and kerosene, and the first for gasoline, oil companies announced yesterday.

“This is the effect of a change in the price of the global oil market,” Jetti Petroleum sad in an advisory, adding that price change varies, depending on location.

The adjustment also reflected fuel products and freight prices, fluctuations in the international oil prices, as well as global oil supply fears, reports said.

Petron, meanwhile, implemented a P2.50/kg rollback in LPG prices, to reflect the international contract price of liquefied petroleum gas for the month of August. | CGC
