The pump prices of gasoline and diesel will increase anew, effective tomorrow, May 5, while the cost of kerosene will roll back for the fourth straight week, oil companies announced over the weekend.

Gasoline will increase by P3 to P4 per liter and diesel by P1 to P3/L, while the price of kerosene will be slashed by P2 to P3.50/L. Exact adjustments will be known today, May 4.

The mixed movement in the prices of petroleum products reflects the continued volatility in global fuel prices amid tensions in the Middle East.

This as the Department of Energy assured the public that it will continue to work closely with concerned government entities and industry stakeholders “to monitor inventory, facilitate the timely distribution of fuel, and prevent supply bottlenecks that may disrupt essential economic activity.” | CGC
