Diesel prices will breach the P150 per liter mark today, April 7, as oil companies announced another round of double-digit increases ranging from P17.95 to P19.80/L, depending on the gasoline station and the location.

Gasoline, meanwhile, will increase by P4.90 to P5.90/L, and kerosene by P8.10 to P9.10/L, still due to the steep rise in global fuel prices amid continuing tensions in the Middle East.

But while most of the gasoline stations will implement the price adjustments this morning, Jetti Petroleum Inc. said it will increase their prices on April 10. “This gives our motorists a buffer period to prepare and adjust to the upcoming price changes.”

This will be the 13th straight week of increases for gasoline, and the 14th for diesel and kerosene, since the start of this year. The double-digit hike, especially for diesel, started last month, following the US-Israeli war in Iran 38 days ago. | CGC
