A dead infant wrapped in cloth was discovered in a rice sack beside a house in Sitio Maaswa, Barangay General Luna, Toboso, Negros Occidental at around 1 p.m. Sept. 3.
A concerned citizen alerted local authorities after coming across the remains, prompting the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of Toboso to report the incident to the police station later that afternoon.
The body was then brought to the Toboso Primary Health Care Facility for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death and gather other details, the police added. | TMD
