Child development centers (CDCs) in various barangays of Kabankalan City received essential daycare equipment and support from the local government, in celebration of the Child Development Workers Week June 13.
The event aimed to support and enhance early childhood care and development across the city.
Barangays 9, Hilamonan, Tagukon, Carol-an, Locotan, Bantayan, Magballo, Tampalon, Oringao, Tapi, Camingawan, and Orong received two-door refrigerators each, while the CDCs received rubber mats and kiddie chair.

Twenty-nine child development workers (CDWs), meanwhile, received plaques of recognition for over 25 years of service, as the city acknowledged their invaluable contributions to childhood care and development.
Some 192 CDWs also underwent external assessment under the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program, with three authorized evaluators overseeing the process, the city said.
City Social Welfare and Development Office head Cyril Ramos and CDC focal person Milcah Vidal said the initiative was part of the city’s ongoing efforts to safeguard children and support the professionals, who nurture their growth and development. ||
