Colegio San Agustin–Bacolod (CSAB) was declared champion in the 2025 Battle of the Nightingales, an inter-school Nursing Quiz Bowl hosted by Riverside Medical Center Inc.
The event gathered nursing students from 13 colleges and universities across Western Visayas and the Negros Island Region.
CSAB’s winning team included Therese Erika Gomez, J Eugene Christian Jolito, and Lyn Rae Vallejo, coached by Lourdez Ivaliz Iledan.
In the school’s Facebook the team said their strong teamwork and preparation led them to victory and earned them the honor of representing the Visayas Region in the upcoming national competition.
Silliman University–Dumaguete placed second, while Iloilo Doctors’ College came in third. Other participating schools included the University of St. La Salle, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, West Visayas State University, Foundation University, University of San Agustin, State University of Northern Negros, Central Philippine Adventist College, Riverside College, St. Paul University–Dumaguete, and Negros Oriental State University. ||
