Colegio San Agustin–Bacolod (CSA-B) marked a transformative milestone in healthcare education with the inauguration of its state-of-the-art Nursing Arts Laboratory at the Villa San Agustin Campus.

The facility is expected to revolutionize nursing education in Western Visayas, offering students immersive, hands-on training that mirrors real-world clinical environments, according to a press release from the school.

The laboratory boasts advanced simulation technology designed to enhance the learning experience of Augustinian nursing students. With high-fidelity simulators and fully equipped hospital wards, the facility enables students to develop critical thinking, decision-making, and patient care skills in a safe and controlled setting.

Dr. Reyma Magbanua, Dean of the College of Health and Allied Professions (CHAP), emphasized the lab’s transformative impact on nursing education and its broader implications for community health and leadership.

“This facility is a testament to our commitment to innovation and excellence. It will empower our students to become compassionate, highly skilled leaders in healthcare,” she said.

Magbanua credited CSA-B President Rev. Fr. Jose Rene Delariarte for his visionary leadership and dedication in realizing the project.

The inauguration also featured the CSA-B Nursing Alumni Association’s participation in the signing of the Deed of Donation and turnover rites, reaffirming the administration’s support for the college’s mission.

Among the key features of the Nursing Arts Laboratory are high-fidelity simulators that replicate diverse medical scenarios with exceptional realism, allowing students to practice crisis management and clinical decision-making.

It also includes immersive hospital wards designed to mirror actual clinical settings. These wards help students master essential procedures and reduce anxiety before entering real-world healthcare environments. ||
