An aspirant for councilor in Pontevedra, Negros Occidental died in a vehicular accident along the road of Hacienda Carmenchita in the town’s Barangay Don Salvador Benedicto on Tuesday.
Police identified the victim as John Espinosa, 54, who was declared dead on arrival at the Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital in La Carlota City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim was on his way to Barangay Antipolo when the Rusi motorcycle with a sidecar he was driving collided with the Isuzu truck driven by Jose Malicsi.
Malicsi is now under the custody of the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station. | GB
