Assorted firearms with ammunition and P150,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized by the police in separate buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental on April 26.
The implementation of search warrant at Quezon St., Barangay 4, Victorias City led to the recovery of two caliber .38 revolvers with 12 ammunition, a homemade 12-gauge shotgun with two ammunition, from alias “Tata”, who will be charged for violation of Republic Act 10591 or illegal possession of firearms.
Two suspects were also arrested for illegal possession of firearms in E.B. Magalona and Toboso towns.
The apprehension of alias “Jose”, 65 in Barangay Tabigue, E.B. Magalona yielded a Taurus caliber .38 revolver.
The suspect, who was under the influence of liquor, indiscriminately fired his gun and caused alarm and scandal, the police said.
The arrest of alias “Jomar” at Purok 9 (Katambu-an) in Barangay Dancalan, Ilog, yielded another caliber .38 revolver with three ammunition.
Police also seized 18 grams of suspected shabu worth P108,800 from two drug suspects, who were arrested in Barangays 5 and Guimbalaon in Silay City.
A security guard and a motorcycle technician were arrested by the police in Talisay City and Toboso also for violation of Republic Act 9165 on Saturday.
Recovered by the police from two suspects were 6.2 grams of suspected shabu valued at P42, 296. | GB
