A former inmate, whose identity is being withheld by the police, was apprehended yesterday in Purok Magsungay, Barangay Sincang-Airport, Bacolod City.

The Drug Enforcement Team of Police Station 8 recovered an estimated 15 grams of shabu from the arrested 42-year-old suspect, who is now locked up in jail.

The drug personality was released only three months ago from jail, also for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Tagged as high value individuals, the two are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 8.

About nine grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P61,200, were also recovered by the police Nov. 18 in Barangay 1 Poblacion, Silay City, from an arrested drug peddler, who is a 41-year-old tricycle driver.

Separate operations in Hinigaran town and Cadiz City also led to the arrest of two more suspected drug peddlers, and the recovery of three grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P20,400.

Two more anti-drug operations in Moises Padilla and Cauayan led to the apprehension of two other drug suspects and the recovery of P7,000 worth of suspected shabu, the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office said. | GB
