Cops seize P500K in shabu

About 500,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized by the police from five arrested suspects in a series of operations in Negros Occidental yesterday.

In San Carlos City, a drug suspect identified only by the police as “Lito” yielded an estimated 62 grams of suspected shabu valued at P426,000.

During his arrest in Barangay Prosperidad, operatives seized an Armscor caliber .45 pistol with a magazine containing two ammunition.

Two other drug suspects were also apprehended in Barangays 4 and 6 in Victorias City, which yielded more than five grams of suspected shabu worth P35,000, marked money of P500 and P263 in cash.

One of the arrested suspects, a resident of Barangay Banago, Bacolod City resisted arrest and tried to punch the arresting police officer.

The apprehension of two more drug suspects in the cities of Talisay and Sagay led to the seizure 10 sachets of suspected shabu and P1,000 in marked money. | GB
