Continued anti-drug campaign of the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region led to the confiscation of P4.62 million worth of suspected shabu from three arrested individuals since Dec. 30.
In Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, a high value individual was arrested in a buy-bust at Purok 7 in Barangay Batinguel on Jan. 2.
Alias “Melsac”, 46, of Barangay Taclobo yielded about 150 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1.02 million.
“Melsac” was previously arrested for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
More than a half a kilo of suspected shabu, valued at P3.6 million were seized by the police in two buy-busts in Bacolod City.
On Dec. 30, operatives of Police Station 8 arrested alias “Ernesto” and confiscated an estimated 335 grams of suspected shabu valued at P2.278 million at Purok Mainabyanon, Barangay Singcang-Airport.
It was followed by the operation of Police Station 2 at Purok Lampirong in Barangay 2 on Dec. 31.
Suspect alias “Sir Erns”, 27, yielded about 220 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1.36 million. | GB
