Cops seize P2M in shabu, guns

Police recovered more that P2 million in suspected shabu from eight arrested suspects in separate operations in six cities in Negros Occidental, including the highly-urbanized Bacolod City.

Operatives of the Bacolod City Drug Enforcement Unit seized yesterday about 250 grams of suspected shabu worth P1.7 million at Days Inn in Goldenfield Commercial Complex, Barangay Singcang- Airport.

Three suspects were arrested, including alias “Fredo”, 51; alias “Iya”, 18; and alias “Shaba”, 23.

About P344,000 worth of suspected shabu were also recovered from four arrested  suspects in the cities of Silay, Victorias and Escalante on Jan. 20.

Two other suspects, a farmer and a construction worker, were apprehended by the police in Sagay and Escalante cities for illegal possession of firearms.

The police recovered two caliber .45 pistols with ammunition. | GB
