Cops seize P1M in shabu in Silay

Policemen seized more than P1 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy bust operation March 1 at Purok Ipil Ipil, Brgy. Mambulac in Silay City.

The arrest of a certain Bebing, a 58-year-old widow, yielded an estimated 163 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P1,108,400.

The arrested drug suspect was categorized by the police as High Value Individual drug personality.

A buy-bust operation Thursday, Feb. 29, at Purok 6 in Brgy. Zone 14A, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, also led to the apprehension of a construction worker who yielded a gram of suspected shabu, with a market value of P6,800 and P500 in marked money.

On the other hand, a 25-year-old miner was intercepted Thursday by the police at a checkpoint along the national highway of Purok Lubi in Brgy. Gil Montilla, Sipalay City. The suspect yielded a caliber 45 pistol with a magazine containing seven ammunition.

The arrested suspects are now locked up in jail. | GB
