Anti-drug operatives of Police Regional Office-6 seized about P1 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested 12 suspected drug peddlers in one-day operations in Western Visayas.
Of the arrested suspects, four were tagged as high-value individuals and eight as street-level individuals.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) arrested two drug suspects, which resulted in the confiscation of P176,800 worth of suspected shabu while the Bacolod City Police nabbed one suspect.
The Iloilo PPO seized P462,400 worth of suspected shabu from an arrested drug peddler while the Iloilo City Police Office arrested six suspects and recovered P428,400 worth of illegal drugs.
The Aklan PPO was able to arrest two persons and confiscated P6,800 worth of suspected shabu.
The 12 arrested suspects are now under police custody and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | GB
