Cops seize drugs, guns in Neg. Occ.

A series of police anti-drug operations led to the arrest of 10 suspects and the confiscation of an estimated P200,000 worth of suspected shabu and unlicensed firearms in Negros Occidental on Aug. 30.

Policemen raided a residence at San Vicente 2 in Barangay Antipolo, Pontevedra, by virtue of a search warrant for illegal possession of firearms.

This resulted in the arrest of alias “Negro,” 22, and the seizure of a Parabellum caliber 9mm pistol with six ammunition, a caliber .38 revolver with four ammunition, and two grams of suspected shabu valued at P13,000.

A buy-bust at Purok Triple R, Barangay Alegria, Murcia led to the apprehension of alias “Jan”, 23, of Sun Rising Village in Kabankalan City.

His arrest yielded an estimated 145 grams of suspected dried marijuana leaves worth P17,400.

Four other drug suspects were arrested at Hacienda San Roque in Barangay Gargato, Hinigaran.

The arrest of alias “Rio”, alias “Ryan”, alias “Vincent”, and alias “Hector” yielded an estimated five grams of suspected shabu valued at P34,000.

The police also seized almost P100,000 worth of suspected shabu, following the arrest of two drug suspects, with aliases “Saint” and “Mark” at Pantalan in  Zone 1, Barangay 6, San Carlos City.

The arrests of alias “Raymart”, alias “Sara”, and alias “Felix” in Cauayan and Talisay City led to the confiscation of three grams of suspected shabu valued at P27,400. | GB
