The Bacolod City Police Office has pointed to thieves from nearby towns and cities, like Murcia and Talisay, as possibly behind the series of motorcycle thefts recently logged in Bacolod.
P/Lt. Col. Lester Leada, deputy city director for Administration of BCPO, said that riding-in-tandem suspects are actively patrolling and scouting targeted locations across Bacolod.
He urged motorcycle owners to take essential precautions, such as never leaving vehicles running or unattended with keys in the ignition.
He also recommended parking in well-lit, secure areas equipped with CCTV surveillance or security guards, rather than in isolated spots.
Meanwhile, community auxiliaries in Barangay Singcang-Airport apprehended a motorcycle theft suspect in Purok Rosal yesterday, and turned him over to Police Station 8 for further investigation. | TMD
