A businessman was arrested on Wednesday for illegal discharge of firearms along Burgos Street in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
The 51-year-old suspect, whose identity is being withheld by the police, yielded a 40mm Smith and Wesson pistol and two magazines with 30 ammunition during the operation conducted by members of the San Carlos City Police Station special weapons and tactics team.
Initial police investigation showed that the suspect, who was under the influence of liquor, created alarm and scandal after firing his gun.
The arrested suspect also failed to present pertinent documents, which allows him to possess and carry firearms. | GB
