Cops confiscate P860K in shabu

More than P860,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized by the police from five suspects in separate buy-busts in Negros Occidental on Oct. 8. 

The operation in Barangay 2 Poblacion, Pontevedra led to the arrest of two persons, including a former barangay councilman in Kabankalan City and his live-in partner.

They were found possessing about 120 grams of suspected shabu valued at P816,000.

Four suspects were arrested in the cities of Escalante and Talisay, leading to the recovery of about 6.5 grams of suspected shabu valued at P44,336 and assorted drug paraphernalia.

All over Negros Island Region, the police accounted for 36 drug personalities in 29 anti-drug operations for the period Sept. 20 to Oct. 5.

The operations resulted in the confiscation of 966.81 grams of suspected shabu worth P6.574 million. | GB
