As part of its continuing commitment as the only government apex hospital in the Negros Island Region, the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod said Aug. 4 that it turned over 10 refurbished hospital beds to the municipality of Hinoba-an.

The donation came following a recent meeting between the CLMMRH leadership and the Hinoba-an local government unit (LGU), reaffirming the former’s role in supporting and strengthening healthcare systems across the region.

This initiative aims to enhance the healthcare capacity of Hinoba-an, particularly its inpatient services, by improving the quality and accessibility of care for its constituents, the CLMMRH posted yesterday, adding the “donation of hospital beds serves as a tangible step toward safer and more responsive local health services.”

As the apex referral hospital in the region, CLMMRH remains steadfast in its mission to foster meaningful partnerships with LGUs. “By sharing resources and technical expertise, the hospital reinforces its vital role in building resilient, community-based health systems.”

The collaboration also highlights the spirit of shared responsibility and the collective pursuit of quality healthcare for all in the Negros Island Region, it added.

The beds were officially received by representatives from the Office of Municipal Mayor Daph Anthony Reliquias during the turnover ceremony led by CLMMRH Medical Center chief, Dr. Joan Cerrada, together with division heads Rey Melchor Bryan Baylon, Marybeth Marcial, Ana Rose Mahilum, and Shareen Caelian, along with key section heads of the hospital. ||
