CHMSU graduate in Top 10 of civil engineer exam

A graduate of the Carlos Hilado Memorial State University in Negros Occidental landed in the Top 10 of the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission said Nov. 29.

Jefferson Cafino ranked 10th Place, with a rating of 92.90 percent, and is among the 8,029 passers, out of the 20,407 examinees, the PRC said, adding that Top 1 is Carl Jervin Rivera Magtira of the University of the Philippines Los Baños with a 95 percent rating.

The CHMSU-Talisay also ranked as 4th Top Performing School, with an 86.21 percent score, after it produced 50 new civil engineers.

The results were released in six working days after the last day of examination given by the Board of Civil Engineering in Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

The PRC said that on Jan. 30 to 31, Feb. 1 to 3, Feb. 6 to 10, and Feb. 13 to 15, 2023, the registration for the issuance of the Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line.

The date and venue for the oath-taking ceremonies will be announced later, it added./CGC
