The Bacolod city government launched Sept. 7 a centralized service hotline, with a single contact number for residents seeking information, submitting inquiries, scheduling appointments, or filing complaints with city government departments.

Mayor Greg Gasataya said that by dialing (034) 479-6100, the public can contact local government offices daily, from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Sunday.

The hotline handles inquiries across multiple services, including scholarship assistance, medical and burial aid, the Bacolod City Comprehensive Health Program, social pensions, garbage collection, traffic management, public works, and business permits, among others.

“The challenge for the people is always that, if there is a need to follow up, they have to go to the offices, and each department has a different number…Bacolod City should only have one number for all offices regardless of concern,” Gasataya stressed.

Under the new system, callers receive a reference ticket number for each request, allowing them to monitor status updates online at case6100.bacolodcity.gov.ph/track.

Gasataya noted that while the centralized hotline covers general administrative inquiries and municipal services, the city’s 911 hotline continues to handle emergency requests 24 hours a day. | TMD
