Regular and casual employees of the Negros Occidental provincial government are expected to receive their year-end bonus and P5,000 cash gift by Nov. 15.

Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II said Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has already given the go-ahead for the processing of the benefits, allowing Capitol employees to receive the payments ahead of the Christmas season.

The year-end bonus is equivalent to one month of the employee’s basic salary while the cash gift amounts to P5,000.

The Department of Budget and Management provides that qualified government employees may receive the year-end bonus and cash gift starting Nov. 15.

The release is expected to provide additional financial assistance to Capitol workers as the holiday season approaches, on top of their regular compensation and other government-mandated benefits.

In December 2025, the provincial government gave up to P50,000 in additional benefits for qualified regular and casual employees. This consisted of a P30,000 Collective Negotiation Agreement  incentive and a P20,000 Service Recognition Incentive. | GPB
