Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II on Wednesday, Dec. 11, entertained the possibility that regular and plantilla casual employees of the provincial government may receive higher additional bonuses this year.

In the past two years, Capitol employees received a total of P55,000 in bonuses, including P30,000 Collective Negotiation Agreement Incentive, P5,000 Productivity Enhancement Incentive and P20,000 Service Recognition Incentive, in which the guidelines for the latter is expected to be released by the Department of Budget and Management this week.

Diaz said that the provincial government has an amount ready for the release of the Performance Based Bonus (PBB), adding that Capitol employees are entitled to receive the PBB for 2023 and 2024.

The PBB is equivalent to 60 percent of the basic salary of Capitol employees.

“As soon as there will be guidelines, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson will give it without a delay,” Diaz said.

The contract of service and job order workers will receive gratuity pay, he added.

The additional bonuses for Capitol employees will be announced by Gov. Lacson during his birthday and Christmas party of Capitol employees on Dec. 13 at the Provincial Capitol Lagoon in Bacolod City. | GB
