Capitol distributes P7.2M PAFFF assistance to 5th District farmers

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the distribution of P7,290,000 in Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk, and their Families (PAFFF) to identified beneficiaries in the 5th District of Negros Occidental July 22.

The beneficiaries were from Himamaylan City, Binalbagan, Isabela, La Castellana, and Moises Padilla, and the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist facilitated the payout at the Himamaylan City Gym.

It was attended by 5th District Board Members Rita Gatuslao and Anton Occeño, Himamaylan City Mayor Raymund Tongson Jr. and Vice Mayor Justin Gatuslao, Binalbagan Mayor Alejandro Mirasol, and Isabela Mayor Irene Montilla, among others.

The assistance is part of the P50 million PAFFF aid given by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to Negrense farmers affected by the prolonged El Niño, the Capitol press release said.

Last week, about P17.78 million in PAFFF was also distributed to beneficiaries in rites held in Bago and Calatrava.

The P50-million PAFFF is intended for 5,000 beneficiaries in Negros Occidental. ||
