Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson on Thursday (Oct. 2) led the blessing and inauguration of the new X-ray unit at the provincial government-run Cadiz District Hospital (CDH) in Cadiz City.

The event coincided with the hospital’s 35th Founding Anniversary, which was also attended by Provincial Health Officer Dr. Girlie Pinongan, Chief of Hospital Dr. Lyka Kymm Garcia, along with the hospital staff and employees.

In his message, Lacson expressed his gratitude to the CDH healthcare team, recognizing their dedication and service.

“Your compassion and courage, especially during the most challenging times in healthcare, have been the backbone of this institution. Beyond providing medical treatment, you have given hope, comfort, and healing to countless Negrenses,” he said.

Lacson also emphasized that the journey of healthcare is a continuous process of growth and improvement.

“Every anniversary is both an achievement and a reminder that we must constantly adapt, innovate, and strive to provide better services to our people,” Lacson said.

He reaffirmed his commitment to strengthen hospital services in the province.

“As Governor, I pledge to continue investing in facilities and extending support to our healthcare workers. We will ensure that CDH, along with our other district and provincial hospitals, remains responsive to the needs of our people and capable of delivering quality, accessible healthcare,” Lacson said. ||
