The Global Strategic Business Process Solutions Inc. held its grand opening Oct. 19 in Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
“We are really looking forward to more jobs and economic recovery in Victorias,” Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez said during the opening rites, adding that “Victoriahanons, who are working in Bacolod, won’t need to travel there anymore and they can be closer to their families and save money and time.”
Global Strategic is the first BPO company in Victorias City.

“It allows rural sites like us outside of Bacolod access to better jobs and opportunities via the internet and…the kind of services found in highly-urbanized cities,” Rep. Jose Francisco Benitez, who also attended the event, said.
The third district congressman said he considers the grand opening to be a milestone, and historic for the city of Victorias.
“Digital transformation comes with a promise of a potential metropolitan but a rural lifestyle where BPOs, IT, and the digital space become an alternative option, superimposed over what we traditionally do,” the solon added.
The inauguration was led by Mayor Benitez, Rep. Benitez, and Global Strategic co-founder and president Mark Matsuyama, and attended by senior vice president Felizardo Lota, VP Jonathan Lochbaum, assistant VP Aceson Chan, and office administrator Aerielle Aguirre.
Victorias City councilors Teresita Bartolome, Dino Acuña, Warlito Undar, Danilo De Asis Jr., Audie Malaga, and Richard Julius Sablan, with City Administrator Atty. Lindolf De Castro and department heads also attended the BPO opening.
Global Strategic is a Philippine-based company that provides outsourcing solutions to businesses all over the world and is managed by BPO professionals from the United States.
The company held its special recruitment activities in Victorias on Feb. 19, June 24, and Oct. 7.
It currently has 50 agents, and projected to reach 60 to 70 by November./GB
