A businessman was shot and killed on Thursday (April 18) by two unidentified men along Sofia Gonzaga Street in Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City.
The victim, identified by the police as Elson Casalan Cepeda, of East Homes 2 Subdivision, was declared dead on arrival at a private hospital in Bacolod City.
Cepeda, 49, was about to board his vehicle, after buying food items from a convenience store, when he was approached and shot by the gunmen several times.
The two assailants fled towards the south, on board a waiting vehicle, police investigation further showed.
The motive of the shooting incident is still being established, it added. | GB
