Joseph Camacho Mag-aso Jr., a 2023 graduate of Binalbagan Catholic College, placed second in the licensure examination for certified public accountants (CPA), with a rating of 90.50 percent, the Professional Regulation Commission said June 1.
Mag-aso, a summa cum laude graduate of BS Accountancy, is among the 3,155 passers, out of the 10,421 examinees in the exam given by the Board of Accountancy in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, and Puerto Princesa, Palawan late last month.
The exam was topped by Nicole Agoy Gonzales of the University of the Cordilleras, and Hazel Ann Concepcion Sera of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Main Sta. Mesa, both with a 90.83 percent rating.
Registration for the issuance of the professional identification card and Certificate of Registration will be done online starting on July 30 this year, the PRC said, adding that the date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony will be announced soon. | CGC
