The Contracts of Service (COS) of 143 part-time faculty members of the Bacolod City College will be signed by Mayor Alfredo Benitez.
This was after the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bacolod approved the proposed COS, for the period covering Aug. 22 to Dec. 29 this year, of the part-time teachers and other school personnel, during its regular session Nov. 16.
The SP also granted Benitez the authority to sign the contracts.
The SP committees on Laws, Ordinances and Good Governance, and of Education, meanwhile, accepted an ordinance of Barangay Handumanan that seeks to provide transportation allowance and school uniform to qualified students of the barangay, who are enrolled at Carlos Hilado Memorial State University. The committees, all chaired by Councilor Al Victor Espino, have 30 days to act on Barangay Ordinance 2022-09-12, and will determine the funding allocated for the measure./CGC
