Negros Occidental Third District Rep. Jose Francisco Benitez is among the top performing members of the House of Representatives in the first quarter of 2024, based on the independent and non-commissioned survey conducted by non-government organization RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD).
The “Top Performing Representatives – Philippines” is part of the “Boses ng Bayan” national survey, which was conducted from March 18 to 24.
It involves 10,000 adult participants, and provided a robust analysis of regional public opinion with a margin of error of +/-1 percent and a 95 percent confidence level.
Speaker Martin Romualdez of Leyte led the list of top performers with 92.8 job performance rating while Benitez got a commendable 88.9 job performance score.
Negros Oriental Second District Rep. Manuel Sagarbarria got an 89.5 job performance rating, according to the RPMD survey results.
The House of Representatives is composed of 316 members, of which 253 are district representatives while 63 others are party-list representatives.
In a statement, Dr. Paul Martinez, RPMD executive director and global ffairs analyst, said that the legislators undergo rigorous assessments based on the feedback from their constituents, with their performance meticulously scrutinized.
“Balancing legislative responsibilities with effective constituent service is what distinguishes these top-performing representatives, Martinez said.
He added that their success reflects their commitment to serving their districts with excellence and responsiveness, genuinely representing the voice and needs of the people they serve. | GB
