Police operatives seized about P740,000 worth of suspected shabu from six drug suspects, who were arrested in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City yesterday.
The suspects, identified by the police through their aliases “Friechbon”, “Richard”, “Roy”, “Peter”, “Joel” and “Benmar”, yielded about 110 grams of suspected shabu, according to a report of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO).
PCapt. Genus David, assistant chief of the City Drug Enforcement Unit, led the anti-drug operations under the supervision of PLt. Col. Antonio Benitez Jr.
Eight more drug suspects were arrested by the police in separate buy-bust operations in the cities of Kabankalan and Himamaylan, as well as in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental on Nov. 25.
The police operations led to the confiscation of about 11 grams of suspected shabu valued at P74,800.
A joint operation of the police and Philippine Army soldiers led to the arrest of a 40-year-old baker in Barangay Mansablay, Isabela, which also yielded a caliber .38 revolver and P1,000 marked money.
All the arrested suspects are now locked up in jail. | GB
