BCPO seizes P6.8M in `shabu’

The Drug Enforcement Unit of the Bacolod City Police Office scored another successful anti-drug operation yesterday, following the recovery of more than a kilo of suspected shabu, worth P6.8 million, from an arrested drug suspect.

P/Lt. Col. Sherlock Gabana, BCPO spokesperson, said the seizure of 1,010 grams of suspected shabu came with the arrest of Napoleon Begasa III, alias Toto, categorized as a high value individual, in Purok Kawayan, Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City.

Aside from the illegal drugs, the police also recovered P3,000 in marked money and P1,200 in cash.

BCPO operatives also seized about 300 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P2.1 million, from three drug suspects apprehended in another buy-bust operation at Rosario Heights Subdivision in Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City June 3./GB
