The Bacolod City Police Office reported the confiscation of about 689.8 grams of suspected shabu valued at P4.699 million from four arrested drug suspects on Dec. 11 and 12.
In a report, the BCPO said the buy-bust on Dec. 12 led to the arrest of a certain “Faisal” classified as a high value individual, in Barangay Sum-ag.
Operatives confiscated 675 grams of suspected shabu worth P4.59 million from the suspect.
Three anti-drug operations in barangays Felisa, Banago and Vista Alegre yielded about 15 grams of suspected shabu, worth P109,000 on Dec. 11.
Three suspects were also arrested.
In a statement, PCol. Joeresty Coronica, director of BCPO, attributed the successful anti-drug campaign to BCPO’s intelligence-driven operations.
On Dec. 14, eight drug suspects were also arrested by the police in the cities of Talisay and Silay as well as in the municipalities of Ilog, Hinigaran, Pontevedra, San Enrique and Murcia, all in Negros Occidental.
The series of operations yielded 40 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P241,000. | GB
