BCPO seizes P2M in shabu, marijuana

More than P2 million worth of suspected shabu and dried marijuana leaves were confiscated by the police from eight individuals in two buy-bust operations in Bacolod City over the weekend,

In a report, the Bacolod City Police Office said six drug suspects were arrested at Purok Star Apple 2, Barangay 27 on Saturday.

A woman was identified as alias “Jenica” while her companions included alias “Rocky”, alias “Jingle”, alias “Terence”, alias “Kim” and alias “Marlon”.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of about 270 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1.836 million.

A follow-up operation on Sunday (Jan. 9) led to the arrest of alias “Dave”, 21, in Barangay Estefania, which yielded about 1.5 kilos of dried marijuana leaves worth P225,000.

Also on Saturday, a tricycle driver identified as alias “Naldo” was apprehended in Purok San Roque, Barangay Tangub.

His arrest yielded about three grams of suspected shabu valued at P20,400.

All the arrested drug suspects are now locked up in jail, pending the filing of charges against them for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002. | GB
