Policemen seized more than P2 million worth of suspected shabu during successive buy-bust operations conducted on Sept. 21 and 22 in barangays 2, 30, and Singcang-Airport in Bacolod City.
The operations also led to the arrest of five drug suspects.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation on Monday night, Sept. 22, in Barangay Singcang-Airport, resulting in the arrest of two suspects identified by their aliases as Jameson and John, both residents of Barangay Vista Alegre in Bacolod City.

The suspects yielded approximately 250 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated market value of P1.7 million.
On Sept. 21, police also apprehended three drug suspects in separate buy-bust operations in barangays 2 and 30.
Among those arrested was alias Fritz, who was found in possession of about two grams of suspected shabu valued at P13,600.
Meanwhile, the arrest of alias Niel and Charlie led to the confiscation of an estimated 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000, along with a caliber .45 pistol and a magazine containing seven rounds of ammunition, according to the Bacolod City Police Office.
The five suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | GB
