Six police commissioned officers (PCOs) received new assignments in a recent reshuffling at the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), as ordered by BCPO Director Police Colonel Joeresty Coronica.
Police Major Elmer Bonilla was designated as head of the BCPO Traffic Enforcement Unit. His former post as Police Station 4 chief is now occupied by Police Major Marc Joeil Reclamado.
Police Captain Hazel Oropel, previously the deputy commander of the BCPO Mobile Force Company, was named chief of Police Station 5, a position formerly held by Reclamado.
Police Captain Liberty Indiape was designated officer-in-charge of the BCPO Women and Children Protection Desk, and was succeeded by Police Lieutenant Meller Dionio, who now heads the BCPO Public Information Office.
Police Lieutenant Rowena Jean Magan was appointed as the deputy chief of Police Station 10.
Colonel Coronica presided over the simultaneous turnover and assumption of duties held on July 2 at the BCPO Conference Room on Magsaysay Avenue in Bacolod City.
In his message, Coronica commended the outgoing station commanders and unit chiefs for their outstanding service and accomplishments. He encouraged the newly designated officers to embrace their new roles with professionalism, dedication, and integrity.
“This reassignment is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening the overall performance of our personnel in the field. We place our people where they are most needed—where they can best contribute to the mission of ensuring peace, order, and public safety,” he stressed.
The reshuffling reflects the BCPO’s commitment to adaptive leadership and continuous improvement in law enforcement operations, ensuring that the right personnel are in place to meet the evolving needs of the community, the BCPO Public Information Office said in a statement. | GB
