A three-day anti-illegal drug operations across Bacolod City resulted in the arrest of seven drug personalities and the confiscation of over P972,000 worth of suspected shabu, the police said Aug. 2.
The weekend operations of various stations under the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) netted approximately 143.5 grams of suspected shabu.
On July 31, operatives from Police Station 9 arrested a 35-year-old male street-level individual (SLI) in Purok Candelaria, Barangay Sum-ag, and seized from him six grams of suspected shabu, worth P40,800, alongside an unlicensed .38 caliber revolver with two live rounds.
Police Station 8 operatives also conducted a buy-bust in Purok 4, Magsungay in Barangay Singcang-Airport that same day, and nabbed a 39-year-old male high-value individual with 55 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P374,000.
Later that night, Police Station 2 personnel arrested two street-level individuals, a woman, 44, and a man, 32, along Gatuslao Street in Barangay 8, who yielded 28 grams of suspected shabu, worth P190,400.
On Aug. 1, Police Station 3 operatives nabbed an SLI, 20, in Purok Langis, Barangay Banago, and recovered 10 grams of suspected shabu, worth P68,000, from him.
Joint elements of Police Station 6 and the BCPO City Intelligence Unit also arrested a 40-year-old male SLI in Purok Planeta, Barangay Taculing, and seized seven grams of suspected shabu, valued at P47,600.
Police Station 10 and City Intelligence Unit operatives, meanwhile, arrested a 22-year-old male SLI in Purok Totong 4, Barangay Felisa, and seized 3.5 grams of suspected shabu, worth P23,800, from him Aug. 2.
All seven arrested suspects are in police custody and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and an additional firearm violation charge, under RA 10591, for the suspect from Barangay Sum-ag, the BCPO said. | TMD
