BCPO logs biggest drug haul in WV

The Police Regional Office-6 confiscated P25 million worth of illegal drugs in Western Visayas in various operations within a period of three weeks.

From Dec. 15, 2024 to Jan. 5 this year, 95 police operations were conducted regionwide, leading to the arrest of 140 suspected drug peddlers and the recovery of 3.7 kilograms of shabu valued at P25.6 million.

The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) recorded the biggest drug haul, with confiscated illegal drugs amounting to P16.5 million, followed by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), P6.5 million; and Iloilo Police Provincial Office, P1.08 million.

At the same time, the BCPO arrested 46 drug personalities,   Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office accounted for 43 drug suspects, and ICPO nabbed 37 others.

PBrig.Gen. Jack Wanky, police regional director of Western Visayas, commended the concerned police commanders across the region for a job well done.

Wanky urged them to maintain the intensity of the campaign, in close coordination and collaboration with the other law enforcement agencies, local government units, and the community. | GB
