Barrogo named OIC reg’l chief of DA-NIR

The Department of Agriculture (DA) has designated Jose Albert Barrogo as its officer-in-charge regional executive director in the Negros Island Region.

Prior to his designation, Barrogo served as the regional technical director for operations and extension of the DA-Western Visayas and deputy project director of the Philippine Rural Development Project Project Support Office-Visayas.

In previous months, the Department of Health also designated Dr. Razel Nikka Hao as its regional director for NIR while the Commission on Elections transferred Lionel Marco Castillano from Comelec Central Visayas to NIR, designating him as the new regional director.

Meanwhile, former Negros Occidental Third District representative turned director general of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Jose Francisco Benitez, was appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as a member to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization National Commission of the Philippines’ education committee. | GB
