A village councilman was injured after he was shot by an unidentified assailant at a stockyard in Barangay Lonoy, Bais City, Negros Oriental on Monday (Oct. 19).
The 42-year-old victim was wounded in the back, according to the police.
He is now being treated at the Bais City District Hospital.
Police investigators are pursuing available leads to establish the identity of the gunman and motive behind the shooting incident. | GPB
