Gazo’s collection is called “Binukot na Babayalan”, inspired by the babaylan and the binukot princess of Bukidnon.

He said that drawing from the dual legacies of the Babaylan—the revered spiritual leader and healer—and the Binukot Princess—the secluded maiden of grace and nobility—this collection reimagines heritage through the lens of modern streetwear.

“Each piece is a conversation between ancestral power and urban rebellion, fusing the flowing silhouettes and intricate beadwork of indigenous tradition with the sharp tailoring, layered textures, and functional elements of contemporary fashion,” he added in a city press release Aug. 17.

The city government, led by Mayor Mayette Javellana-Yao, has commended Gazo and thanked him for bringing pride and honor to the city in the field of fashion and creatives. ||
